Brodie Kenny-Bell Set for AFL Debut

This coming Saturday (18th April) South Australian Goal Umpire Brodie Kenny-Bell will make his AFL debut when he officiates in the Sydney Swans GWS Derby at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Brodie first started his Goal Umpiring career in Country SA’s Spencer Gulf League (SGL) in 2006. After impressing in the SGL, he moved to Adelaide in 2009 where he umpired at SANFL League Level up until the end of the 2013 season.

Pursuing a career business opportunity, Brodie moved to Sydney in 2014 spending the season umpiring for the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) where he officiated in the NEAFL Grand Final.

In 2015 Brodie was successful in earning a spot on the AFL Goal Umpiring List.

  • Goal Umpire of the Year ACT/NSW, 2014
  • State Game NEAFL v WA, 2014
  • SANFL League Grand Final (Emergency), 2013
