Round 8 Milestones for Crosby, Burton and Zacher

2017 has certainly brought about a few Milestones for our umpires. From debuts to SANFL Life Membership it’s been a big start to the season.

Round 8 is no different, with 3 Umpires officiating in Milestones.

Field Umpire and SANFLUA Secretary Andrew Crosby will officiate in his 200th League Match, granting him Life Membership of the SANFL.  ‘Croz’ will take charge of the clash between Sturt and Norwood at Unley Oval on Saturday. To hear Andrew’s thoughts on his Milestone listen to his chat with SANFL Radio earlier this week here. Congratulations Andrew and enjoy the day.

Sean Burton

SANFLUA Treasurer and Boundary Umpire Sean Burton will also officiate in his 200th SANFL League Match this weekend. It has been a solid start for ‘PJ’ who has been umpiring AFL Matches so far this year, but returns to the SANFL ranks to notch up his Milestone. Sean will umpire the match between Woodville-West Torrens and North Adelaide at Woodville Oval on Saturday. Well done Sean. Run well.

Matthew Zacher

Fellow Boundary Umpire Matthew Zacher runs the boundary in his 150th League Match this weekend in the game between Sturt and Norwood at Unley. Matt has had an interrupted start to the year through injury but has made solid ground to return to League footy action. Congratulations Matt.
