Privacy Policy

Collection and Use

The SANFL Umpires Association (the Association, SANFLUA, We, Us) maintains a database of members and associated personal information. This information is used for purposes such as, but not limited to; sending publications, newsletters, event information and membership renewals and undertaking duties associated with membership of the Association. This database is accessed by Committee members. 

We will not release any members personal information to any other person or entity (except to third party providers for the sole purpose of storing this information), without the approval of the member concerned. We may however, release personal information in the event of receiving a legally enforceable order from a registered legal practitioner or court of law.

Security

We strive to keep secure at all times all personal information provided by members. We apply appropriate technical and administrative procedures to protect your personal information from unauthorised disclosure, loss, misuse or alteration.

Third Party Providers

Your personal information may be stored by third party providers from time to time. Our third party providers employ redundant firewalls and all data is subject to Data Encryption and sent via Secure Links. Although we will endeavour to keep your personal information secure at all times, we do not have control over issues affecting our third party providers such as security and server breaches. 

In the event of a breach of security with one of our third party providers, we will investigate the extent of the breach and as such determine whether members personal information has been compromised. 

If it is determined that the personal information of a member has been compromised, they will be informed as soon as practicable.

Updating Your Personal Information

We will take reasonable steps to ensure our database remains accurate, however it is inevitable that some personal information that we hold will become out of date. If you advise us of a change to your personal information we will amend our records accordingly.

Accessing Your Personal Information

You have the right to request at any time a record of your personal information that we hold about you. Upon your request, we will provide you with access to the information that is held by us. This request will be dealt with within a reasonable time. 

Breaches of Privacy

If a member has a complaint or query regarding a breach of privacy they should contact the President of the Association.

Changes To This Policy

We will post changes to the Privacy Policy and publish the effective date when this policy is updated.
